LCD
The acronym LCD stands for the words liquid crystal display; the latter display is used in a variety of electronic devices including watches, computers, and televisions. LCD displays are housed within LCD TVs and such screens consist of two polarized sheets with liquid crystals in between the two sheets. The crystals are directly affected by electric currents which are forced to pass directly through the crystals: this causes the affected crystals to align in such a way that light is blocked. Unaffected crystals continue to allow light to pass through them.
