HDTV is an acronym for High Definition Television.  HDTVs are coveted for the superior resolution and images they present to consumers.  HDTVs are televisions that can easily translate digital signals and present them on widescreen displays housed within the ultrathin housing of today’s latest HDTV models.  There are several HDTV variants including plasma, rear screen, front screen projection, direct view, and plasma screen HDTVs.  The latter sets are equipped with HDTV tuners for high definition signal translation.
